RECALLS FOR FIRE HAZARDS...

As a service to our residents we are providing the following recall notices for products we know exist in our community.

Please note... this is not an inclusive list, nor represents any product you have that may not be listed here is recommended, deemed safe, or recognized by our department. We urge all consumers to complete their own research as to the purchase, operation, maintenance, and/or repair of any product in their home or place of business. FIRE PREVENTION BASICS...

The best outcomes from an accident or incident are achieved by preventing and accident or incident. The Fire Service has a long standing tradition of teaching fire prevention and over the last several years has expanded this service to include education about other ways to prevent accidents and/or incidents. Remember these long standing, simple rules of prevention.

  • KEEP MATCHES & LIGHTERS AWAY FROM CHILDREN!!
  • If you use space heaters, keep combustibles such as curtains, papers, furniture, at least 3 feet away.
  • Don't ever smoke in bed!
  • Get a fire extinguisher and know how to use it.
  • Keep emergency numbers near your phone!
While these are the basics of fire prevention, there is so much more information aimed at protecting you, your family and property available today.
