The best outcomes from an accident or incident are achieved by preventing and accident or incident. The Fire Service has a long standing tradition of teaching fire prevention and over the last several years has expanded this service to include education about other ways to prevent accidents and/or incidents. Remember these long standing, simple rules of prevention?

KEEP MATCHES & LIGHTERS AWAY FROM CHILDREN!!

If you use space heaters, keep combustibles such as curtains, papers,
furniture, at least 3 feet away.

Don't ever smoke in bed!

Get a fire extinguisher and know how to use it.

Keep emergency numbers near your phone!
